(1) ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS - CAR RENTAL CONTRACT
THEAGREEMENTFORRENTALOFAVEHICLE
Between Thousand Hills Explorers (the Lender) and ………………………………………. (the
Renter).
ARTICLE 1: RESPONSIBILITY OF THE RENTER
The Renter shall return the vehicle in the same condition as it was, when rented.It must be back with no scratches, damage, or missing parts, including but not limited to the engine, gearbox, or any other components. The Renter shall be responsible for any damage or loss caused to the vehicle during the rental period.
ARTICLE 2: RENTAL DURATION
A vehicle is rented for the number of days corresponding to the amount paid.The Renter pays before. If the Renter wants to extend the rental period, he/she must notify in advance and pay before.
ARTICLE 3: USE OF THE VEHICLE
The vehicle shall only be used within the borders of Rwanda and shall not be taken out of the country. If the vehicle is taken out of the country without permission, the Renter shall be liable for any consequences, including fines and penalties.
ARTICLE 4: DRIVER'S LICENSE
The Renter shall hold a valid driver's license and shall provide a photocopy of the license when renting the vehicle.( driver's license which is valid in Rwanda)
ARTICLE 5: DAMAGES ANDLIABILITY
The Renter shall be responsible for any damages or losses caused to the vehicle during the rental period. If the Renter fails to report any damage or loss to the Lender, the Renter shall be liable for the full amount of the damage or loss.
ARTICLE 6: DISPUTES
Any disputes arising between the parties shall be resolved between two parties, if the negotiation fails, the disputes is resolved through the courts of law.
ARTICLE 7: RENTAL FEE
The rental fee for the vehicle shall be ………………………………………………………….
ARTICLE 8: FUEL RESPONSIBILITY
The Renter shall be responsible for fueling the vehicle during the rental period.
ARTICLE 9: DURATION OF THE AGREEMENT
This agreement shall be valid for ……………………………………………. and may be extended with the mutual consent of both parties.
ARTICLE 10: CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE
The vehicle shall be in good condition, with all necessary documents and accessories, including but not limited to insurance and registration.
ARTICLE 11: USE OF THE VEHICLE BY THE RENTER
The Renter shall not drive the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any other substance. If the Renter is found to be driving under the influence of alcohol or any other substance , the Lender reserves the right to terminate the agreement and Repossess the vehicle.
ARTICLE 12: INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE
The Lender reserves the right to inspect the vehicle at any time during the rental period. If the Lender finds that the Renter is not taking proper care of the vehicle, the Lender may terminate the agreement and repossess the vehicle.
ARTICLE 13: MECHANICAL DEFAULTS
The Lender shall be responsible for any mechanical defaults caused by the car itself. The Renter shall not attempt to repair the vehicle without the prior consent of the Lender.
ARTICLE 14: FUEL
The vehicle shall be delivered to the Renter with a full tank of fuel, and the Renter shall return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle is given without a full tank of fuel, the Renter shall be liable for the cost of fuel or return it at the same level of fuel as given.
ARTICLE 15: DELIVERY AND RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
The vehicle shall be delivered to the Renter at ………………………… and shall be returned at …………………………
ARTICLE 16: DEPOSIT
The Renter shall pay a deposit of 100,000 RWF (for out-of-town rentals) or 50,000 RWF (for in-town rentals), which shall be refunded at the end of the rental period, provided that the vehicle is returned in good condition and the Renter has not exceeded the agreed-upon rental duration.
